Tex Mex Restaurant: Thirsk🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was out and about in Thirsk, North Yorkshire when I found a lovely real ale pub called The Little 3. Sadly I haven’t got a photo of inside the pub itself. Within the pub they have a Tex Mex Restaurant on the upper floor. The newly refurbishedΒ  restaurant with a fantastic new menu started my mouth watering as I decided I just had to try this food.

When I stepped foot into the Restaurant I was blown away by this amazing decor. TheGetFileAttachment_003photo does not do it justice, but the restaurant is light and airy. The decor is a mixture of traditional Mexico and Texas.

The Food

The Starter

Looking at the menu we ordered Nachos to start. Bright vibrant. Homemade salsa,Β  GetFileAttachment_004 lightly spiced Tortilla chips, two cheese blend, home made guacamole, jalapenos and sour cream.Β  Served on a clay dish. The taste of everything together is like a festival in your mouth. The Tortilla chips maintain their crunch. The salsa is so fresh that it seems to dance on your tongue as you eat it, while making sure that you get the distinctive tomato taste. I can honestly say that I hated guacamole before this but now I am a lover. Everything blended so well that I really wished we had ordered the Chicken or Steak topped Nachos.

The Mains

My Partner ordered for his main a 1 Kilo of Chipotle wings. GetFileAttachmentThe chicken was so tender and juicy that it fell of the bone. The glace had a amazing richness with a full flavour that only added to the full richness of the dish.

I ordered beef enchiladas.

GetFileAttachment_004Fully home made, with a two cheese blend on top of a corn tortilla filled with a blend of steak mince fresh vegetables and chili pepper sauce. When cut into the filling shows a vibrancy of colour which is a feast for the eyes. I as a former chef have made enchilada’s many times but nothing compared to what went on in my mouth after tasting this. All the flavour’sΒ  worked amazingly well together. This includes the sides which we ordered; Sweet potato fries and spicy chips. No matter which one you had the side dishes complemented the main.

The customer service.

We were waited on by a very nice young lady who made sure that everything was OK the whole way through. She did not come over too often like you get in a lot of places while your trying to eat, maintaining a great focus and knew when we needed drinks and when our drinks were finished and made sure that we were not waiting too long to order. As all the dishes are made to order you have to expect a slight waiting time. But the waitress made sure you knew what was going on and that you were not left waiting for hours for your meal. The manager also does a walk around to make sure that everything is OK so if you feel more comfortable always address any issues to him.

In Conclusion

After visiting The Little 3 Tex Mex Restaurant I found the food an amazing delight on all the senses. The food is amazing and is the best restaurant that this little town has to offer. They do offer pies as well if you do not fancy Tex Mex and they also offer burgers on their Tex Mex menu. The food is all reasonably priced so everyone can afford to visit.  The environment and atmosphere is inviting, with a warm friendly welcome that not many places give. Even dogs are allowed on the hard floored area in the pub below but not in the restaurant. Therefore I give the  The Little 3 Tex Mex Restaurant 5 stars out of 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
